Good questions, short answers.
See how Halqora comparesDo students need accounts?
No. Every student gets a private link to join class and a public invoice page to see what is due and how to pay. No app to install and no password to remember. Your teachers and admin team sign in; families never have to.
Can we keep Google Meet?
Yes. Each schedule can use the Halqora classroom or a Google Meet link, so you can move teacher by teacher or class by class. Students use the same personal join link either way, and the class outcome still drives billing and payroll.
Which currencies are supported?
Invoice each family in the currency they actually pay in. Halqora handles 146 currencies, including USD, GBP, CAD, AED, SAR and EGP, and one billing run can mix them. Your dashboards roll everything up into an approximate USD total so you can see the whole academy at once.
Can we import our data?
Yes, and it is free. We import your students, teachers, recurring schedules and open balances from your spreadsheets as part of onboarding, then run a 14-day pilot alongside what you use today.
Where is the data hosted?
Halqora runs on managed cloud infrastructure and your data is encrypted in transit. We confirm the hosting region during onboarding, and our privacy policy lists the kinds of sub-processors we use.
What kinds of academies use Halqora?
Online academies and tutoring businesses that teach live one-to-one classes: language schools, music teachers, school tutoring and test prep, coding, and Quran and Arabic academies. The classroom has a whiteboard, a PDF book library and screen share annotation for every subject, plus a Quran viewer for academies that need it.
Which payment providers are supported?
PayPal, Stripe and Mercury invoices update in Halqora when they are paid. Wise transfers are matched to invoices by reference or amount, and anything that does not match waits in a queue for you. Anything else can be recorded by hand in a few seconds.
Do you send WhatsApp messages?
Yes. From your academy's own WhatsApp number, which you pair in settings, Halqora sends invoice messages and payment follow-ups, alerts to your admins when a teacher or student joins a class or has not joined 5 minutes after the start (you set the time), and, if you want it, an after-class report to the family with the subject, teacher, date, scheduled and actual minutes and the teacher's note. The number sends up to 50 messages a day. Each kind of message can be switched on or off for your academy and its wording edited. Email carries the same invoice reminders, so a WhatsApp problem never blocks an invoice. Halqora does not send class reminders before a class, and attendance is still marked by your team.
Does it support group classes?
Not today. Halqora is built for one-to-one classes, which is how most online tutoring and language academies teach. Every class has its own outcome, invoice line and pay line.
How long is the contract?
There is no long lock-in. Starter and Academy are month-to-month, or annual if you want two months free. Scale plans are agreed with you. Every academy starts with a 14-day pilot and free onboarding.
