No-login family links let parents and students join class and open invoices without creating accounts. In Halqora, each student gets a permanent private class link, and families receive invoice pages and PDFs without needing a username or password.
Halqora is our product. We’ve tried to keep this comparison fair: competitor details come from their public pages, linked and dated below. Tell us if anything is out of date at support@halqora.com.
What are no-login family links?
Halqora is management software for online academies. Admins and teachers have accounts; families and students do not. The family experience centers on joining a scheduled class and opening an invoice, rather than learning a parent dashboard.
A student’s class link stays the same across classes and shows their next class. An invoice has its own page with a downloadable PDF. Keep the distinction clear when introducing links to parents: the class link is for lessons, while the invoice link is for billing.
How it works
- When you add a student, Halqora generates a private signed class link. Give the family that student’s link and explain that they can keep using it for future classes.
- The student opens the link to see their next class and join the built-in classroom when the class is open. The student does not create an account. Halqora classes are one-to-one: one teacher and one student.
- If the class link is shared or leaked, an admin replaces or revokes it. Replacing the link stops the old link from working. Public class endpoints are rate-limited against repeated requests.
- Billing runs create draft invoices. An admin reviews and sends them. The family then receives an email containing a PDF and a link to the invoice page, which needs no login.
- Where configured, the invoice page links to a PayPal or Stripe invoice for payment. The Halqora page also shows the invoice details, amount paid and remaining balance.
- Admins and teachers continue using their accounts for their work. Families keep using links. Siblings have separate class links, although siblings can share a family invoice.
For family instructions, see no-login class links for children. Tell parents which link to save before lessons begin.
Parent portal vs no-login links: trade-offs
A parent portal makes sense when families want a place to book lessons, make payments and review progress. As of 21 October 2026, TutorCruncher says its client and parent portals provide those functions and offer Google and Facebook login.
TutorCruncher is a better fit if parents need self-service booking. Its parent progress views are also an advantage if families expect to check progress themselves. Halqora has no family booking screen, and lesson reports remain internal to teachers and admins.
No-login links suit a narrower routine: open the class, or open the bill. Families have no account setup or password reset to complete. The trade-off is fewer family-facing tools, plus a need to protect the links themselves. Our parent portal vs no-login links guide explains how to choose around the tasks your families actually need.
How families join and pay across platforms
Competitor entries reflect the supplied public-page details as of 21 October 2026. “Not stated on checked page” means the supplied page details do not establish that point; it does not establish that the feature is absent.

Keeping links safe: rotation, revocation and rate limits
Private links remove password recall, but possession of a link matters. Send each class link to the intended family, and ask parents to keep the link out of public groups. Rate limits restrict repeated requests; rate limits do not prevent someone from forwarding a valid link.
Halqora class and invoice links do not expire automatically. An admin can replace either link, which disables the old link. Class links can also be revoked, and cancelling an invoice makes its public page unavailable. Give the intended recipient the replacement after rotating a link.
The Halqora invoice link and a payment provider’s hosted link have separate lifetimes. As of 21 October 2026, Stripe’s hosted invoice page documentation says hosted URLs expire 30 days after the due date, never longer than 120 days. Do not describe that expiry as a Halqora link rule.
What it doesn’t do (yet)
The class page shows the next class when a family opens the link; the page does not send an alert. Invoice emails and automatic email reminders for unpaid invoices are separate from class notifications. Families also cannot read lesson reports through class or invoice links.
Alternatives and how others handle this
No-login payment access is not unique to Halqora. Teachworks and Classcard describe payment links, while Stripe documents hosted invoice pages for viewing, paying and downloading PDFs. Compare the family steps alongside the admin work before choosing a system.
For a family that wants booking and progress in an account, TutorCruncher’s portal offers more family-facing functions. MaktabMate describes a parent sign-in route. Halqora suits academies that want families to use direct links and contact an admin for schedule changes. See invoice pages families can pay without login for the billing side of that choice.
