Choose Oases Online or TutorCruncher for agencies, TutorBird for studios, Teachworks for integrations, and Classcard or Teach ‘n Go for groups. Wise (wise.live) suits Zoom-based academies, LearnCube suits classroom-first schools, and Halqora suits international academies running one-to-one live classes.
Halqora is our product. We’ve tried to keep this comparison fair: competitor details come from their public pages, checked on the date shown. Tell us if anything is out of date at support@halqora.com.
Best tutoring management software: the short answer
Choose the tool that matches your teaching model and money flow. A group school needs different records from an agency paying tutors, and a classroom product solves a different problem from monthly invoicing. A low starting price matters less if your required workflow sits on another plan.
Tools are grouped by business type and listed alphabetically within each group. The order is not a ranking. Teachworks appears with multi-branch schools; LearnCube appears under online academies as the classroom-first option.
Our guide to what tutoring management software does explains that distinction. Before choosing, decide whether you need to replace your administration, your classroom, or both.
How we compared and ordered the tools
The comparison uses the supplied vendor-page checks dated 21 October 2026. Vendor features and plan descriptions remain vendor claims. We have not treated those descriptions as proof that a workflow has been tested in your academy, or that a payment provider will accept your business.
We compared pricing units, classroom arrangements, invoice currencies, payment connections, payroll and family access. We did not score customer totals, country totals or review ratings. Those figures do not establish whether a product can resolve your canceled class or prepare the invoice your family expects.
A feature described through an integration is different from a built-in feature. Likewise, a converted total displayed on an invoice does not necessarily mean the invoice itself changes currency. Keep those distinctions visible when a salesperson demonstrates the software.
Public-page gaps are narrower than product limitations. Where the supplied checks say a feature was not found, we say so with the page and date. Where the brief simply provides no answer, the tables say to confirm the detail rather than claiming the feature is absent.
Comparison table: checked 21 October 2026
The starting prices below are vendor-listed prices as of 21 October 2026. Currency codes reflect the supplied pricing facts; Wise (wise.live) does not state a currency for its quoted rate. The limits column identifies the next question to resolve, not a complete feature list.

Pricing units deserve a separate calculation. A student-based subscription, tutor-seat subscription and lesson-based subscription can change differently as your school grows. Our guide to tutoring software pricing models explains how to compare those units without mistaking a base fee for your total bill.
For agencies
Oases Online
Oases Online belongs on an agency shortlist when reporting and payroll are central to the buying decision. According to its public product and pricing information, checked 21 October 2026, its pricing runs from USD 99 per month for up to 25 active students to USD 699 for 350.
Ask Oases to demonstrate the report you currently assemble by hand and the payroll record you need to approve. A reporting-focused product earns its place when those outputs match your actual administration. Confirm the evaluation arrangements directly rather than assuming a free trial is available.
TutorCruncher
TutorCruncher lists Stripe, GoCardless, Xero and QuickBooks connections on its integrations page, checked 21 October 2026. Choose TutorCruncher when those named connections are requirements. Halqora does not offer accounting integrations yet, so an agency relying on those connections has a concrete reason to evaluate TutorCruncher.
According to TutorCruncher’s currency documentation, checked 21 October 2026, currency works per branch with ad hoc handling. Ask the vendor to show your family billing arrangement rather than assuming that branch currency means the same thing as student currency.
TutorCruncher’s cancellation documentation describes canceled-but-chargeable lessons, while its public product page describes client access. Test the connection between a canceled lesson, the client charge and teacher pay. Review TutorCruncher alternatives if the agency model fits but the charging model needs closer comparison.
For small studios and solo tutors
TutorBird
TutorBird’s vendor-listed starting subscription is lower than Halqora’s as of 21 October 2026. That makes TutorBird worth considering when a small studio needs administration at a low base cost. Its pricing page also states a 30-day trial without a card, giving you time to assess the daily workflow.
TutorBird’s features page, checked 21 October 2026, lists Stripe, PayPal and a Student Portal. Its multi-tutor information mentions payroll. Ask to see how adding a tutor changes both the subscription and the approval process for teacher pay.
We could not find multi-currency billing or accounting integrations on their public pages as of 21 October 2026; the page checked was TutorBird’s public feature list. Treat that as a question for the demonstration. Do not infer that a payment-provider connection establishes how every invoice currency works.
For a solo tutor, the useful demonstration starts with adding a student, booking a lesson and sending an invoice. If those tasks feel clear, inspect the less frequent tasks next: correcting a charge, moving a lesson and finding an unpaid invoice.
For group-class and multi-branch schools
Teachworks
Teachworks describes integration-heavy and multi-branch use on its public product pages, checked 21 October 2026. Its integration list names Stripe and QuickBooks Online. Teachworks is worth evaluating when your school needs those connections rather than a more self-contained administration workflow.
Teachworks Starter charges per student lesson in addition to the base subscription. Ask the vendor to apply its definition of a student lesson to your actual timetable. A group-class school should establish that unit before comparing the monthly cost with a student-band plan.
According to its currency-converted invoice totals page, Teachworks offers an add-on for converted totals. Its billing page describes calendar-based billing, and its Stripe help page explains Pay Online invoices. These are separate capabilities; demonstrate them together if international collection is your priority.
Classcard
Classcard lists Stripe, Razorpay, PayTabs, Telr, MyFatoorah and Tabby among its integrations, checked 21 October 2026. Classcard is a better choice to investigate when a listed Gulf payment gateway is essential. Its integration list also names Xero, Zoho Books, Zoom and Lessonspace.
According to Classcard’s pricing page, recurring billing starts on Growth at USD 199 per month as of 21 October 2026. Budget for the plan that contains your workflow. Comparing Starter prices alone would hide a material difference for a school that needs recurring billing.
We could not find multi-currency billing or payroll on their public pages as of 21 October 2026; the page checked was Classcard’s features page. Classcard describes student access through a web link on its public site. Ask to see the family experience as well as the administrator view.
Teach ‘n Go
Teach ‘n Go describes group-school administration, parent access and mobile apps on its Islamic school software page, checked 21 October 2026. Those access options make Teach ‘n Go worth considering for a school where families expect a portal or app rather than private invoice and class links.
Its payment-management page lists Stripe and PayPal. We could not find multi-currency billing on their public pages as of 21 October 2026; that payment page was checked. We could not find payroll on their public pages as of 21 October 2026; the page checked was Teach ‘n Go’s public site.
We could not find accounting integrations on their public pages as of 21 October 2026; the page checked was Teach ‘n Go’s pricing page. Confirm those requirements directly if your school needs them. A missing public description is not evidence that a vendor cannot support a workflow.
For international online academies
Halqora
Halqora is management software for online academies and tutoring businesses from Talt AI; Murouj Academy runs on it. Halqora schedules, bills and calculates teacher pay for one-to-one classes; siblings can share a family invoice.
Halqora uses scheduling rules in each IANA time zone. Each student has a currency, and invoices are never converted. Dashboard USD totals are approximate. PayPal, Stripe and Mercury connections read payments back; Mercury sync is USD only. Wise (wise.com) transfers are matched, never created, and unclear matches need admin review.
Billing runs create draft invoices, prepaid or postpaid. An admin reviews and sends them. Unpaid invoices receive automatic email reminders. Families use private invoice pages and PDFs without logging in, plus a permanent private class link showing their next class. Links do not expire; replacing a link stops the old link working.
Teachers record completed classes with reports, student no-shows or student cancellations. Admins resolve other outcomes and record late minutes, wait minutes and emergency exceptions. Reports are internal ratings and written feedback for admins; families do not see them. Payroll for a period waits until required reports are submitted.
Halqora applies fixed outcome rules. Rules such as the teacher lateness deduction and half-class wait requirement connect recorded outcomes to pay calculations. Halqora calculates draft teacher payments; an admin pays teachers outside Halqora and marks payments paid. Teacher pay uses an hourly rate without currency conversion.
As of 21 October 2026, Starter is USD 39/mo up to 25 active students. Academy is USD 2.50 per active student per month, USD 99 minimum. Scale is custom for 300+ students. Annual billing gives 2 months free. A 14-day pilot, free onboarding and data import are included in the offer.
For a vertical comparison, see our guide to software for Quran academies. Schools that teach in groups should choose software that supports group classes today rather than buying on an assumed roadmap.
LearnCube
LearnCube’s pricing page, checked 21 October 2026, distinguishes its free Virtual Classroom Basic plan from Online School Premium, starting at USD 99. LearnCube says Premium includes scheduling, reminders and attendance reporting. Payments and analytics sit on Enterprise according to the supplied pricing check.
Choose LearnCube for evaluation when the classroom is the main purchase. Ask which school-management tasks remain outside the plan you are considering. A suitable classroom can still leave you needing a separate process for invoices, collections and teacher pay.
Wise (wise.live)
Wise (wise.live) says Zoom is included in its usage-priced offer as of 21 October 2026. Its quoted 0.69 rate is described per session or seat, with no currency stated. Obtain the currency and chargeable-unit definition before comparing that rate with a monthly student-based subscription.
Wise (wise.live) is tutoring software. Wise (wise.com) is the payment provider mentioned in Halqora’s payment matching. Keep those names distinct in a purchasing discussion, especially when comparing classroom costs with the method families use to transfer money.
Questions to ask before you choose
Ask each vendor to demonstrate your actual work, including exceptions. Start with your class format and subjects. Then follow a class through scheduling, outcome entry, invoicing, payment matching and teacher pay. Use our tutoring software demo questions to record answers in comparable terms.
Before switching, agree which records will move and which will remain accessible in the old system. Check student currencies, family billing relationships, future schedules, unpaid invoices and teacher rates. Ask who reviews the import and how corrections are handled before families receive new links or invoices.
Finish with a cost review based on your current roster and timetable. Include the required plan, payment charges, added tutors and lesson-based usage where relevant. Choose the product whose demonstrated workflow fits your academy now, with unresolved questions written down before you commit.
